Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Review

Xiaomi Mi TV 4 to go on sale today: Launch offers, specs and more

This is the first time Xiaomi will conduct a Mi TV sale out of its native market China. The connectivity features are the same as the ones on the Redmi Note 5. Xiaomi is also selling the flagship Redmi Note 5 at 12 PM today. Nonetheless, both variant will find enough space in the affordable segment to make their mark. Moreover, it is interesting to see that the new Xiaomi phone is making the competition tougher for the Mi A1, which is an existing hot-selling model by the Chinese brand, launched a year ago in collaboration with Google as a new Android One handset. It also runs on MIUI 9.2 based on Android Nougat and will be powered by a 4000mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro will also come in two storage variants, one with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage priced at Rs 13,999, and the other with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory priced at Rs 16,999.

You can buy Mi LED Smart TV 4, which will be going on sale for the first time in India, on Mi.com as well as on Flipkart from 2 pm onwards.

Xiaomi launched the Mi A1 back in September previous year with a price tag of Rs. 14,999, though it received a price cut and is now available at Rs. 13,999. Users will need to register once again on Flipkart and Mi.com in order to be alerted of the next sale. It is available in four colours - black, gold, pink and blue. The battery of Note 5 Pro like its predecessors is top-notch and can last for entire day on full charge. The Mi LED Smart TV 4 provides support for 4K+HDR coupled with Dolby DTS technology. The company is not offering any goodies on the new launch, but there is an exchange discount worth Rs. 2,000. However, the double data benefit is available only for the first three recharges only.

The smartphone comes with a premium metal body and a tapered back cover.

Refreshing the specs of both the phones, both the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro run MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor with Kryo 260 CPU unit. The new processor is touted to make the smartphone the "fastest Redmi Note ever" with an AnTuTu score of 109,692. At a price range of Rs 9,999, the company has provided its customers with a 12-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera. There is also an LED flash module that accompanies the rear camera setup. Up front, you have a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, for selfies and video calling. There is 64GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM format. In terms of connectivity, there are plenty of options. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back that supports multiple fingerprint profiles. The Note 5 Pro sports a 5.99-inch LCD display, which is as big as that of the Mi MIX 2. The primary sensor comes with f/2.2 aperture while the secondary sensor has f/2.0 aperture. There is a front-facing fingerprint sensor. Besides, it packs a 3000mAh battery.

If we look at the specifications of Redmi Note 5 Pro, it features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, a colour contrast ratio of 1500:1 and 450-nits brightness. The TV also has an Ethernet port support AV Input along with the traditional antenna port.
