Wendy Williams Cancels Multiple Shows Due to “Flu-Like Symptoms” During Record-Breaking Flu Season

"Wendy is still experiencing flu-like symptoms, and so she can rest up and get better, we have made a decision to cancel tapings the rest of the week", said a show's spokesperson on Wednesday morning (Feb. 14).

The host of "The Wendy Williams Show" had to cancel her show on Wednesday due to "flu-like symptoms", her spokesperson told Us Weekly in a statement on Tuesday.

This follows what some saw as a close call for Williams on Tuesday's show where she seemed to almost fall.

"It's not the flu yet, but I feel flu-ish", Williams said in a video she posted on Instagram on Wednesday. But I feel bad.

African-American multicast network Bounce will air The Wendy Williams Show, produced and distributed by Lionsgate's Debmar-Mercury, in a day-and-date repurposing deal, the network said Thursday.

"I had to be talked out of not going to work today and taking off a few days to get myself together", she continued in the video, in which she's wearing a turban and a pink bathrobe. Referring herself to a "thoroughbred", she says she has always been hesitant to take days off work, even in her radio days. "Wendy could really do with a break, but she refuses to take any time off from filming [her talk show]". "What? No, never", she said.

Last October, Williams took a highly publicized fall during the taping of her Halloween-themed episode and accredited the mishap to overheating from her costume. "Everything we are looking at is bad news".
