DeMoss and Dailey are the first inductees in the contributor-assistant coach category. The former Assumption standout was part of the first class of female students to receive a scholarship for athletics.
Throughout her 17-year professional playing career, Thompson was a four-time WNBA champion with the Houston Comets (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000), a member of the WNBA All-Decade team, an eight-time All-WNBA team selection, a nine-time WNBA All-Star, and the WNBA All-Star MVP in 2000.
Thompson was the No. 1 pick in the first college draft for the WNBA, in 1997. She was the league's No. 1 all-time scorer until being passed by Diana Taurasi past year.
As for Thompson and Smith, their 60.52 and 59.61 win shares rate third and fifth, respectively, in the history of the WNBA.
Smith is one of the most decorated players in the history of women's basketball, retiring following the 2013 season as the all-time leading scorer in women's professional basketball history with 7,885 points, and she ranked second all-time in the WNBA with 6,452 points.

Dailey joined UConn when head coach Geno Auriemma took over the program in 1985, and is in her 33rd year as his top assistant. Collegiately, she starred at Ohio State University, helping guide the Buckeyes to the NCAA Championship game as a freshman, and going on to break the Big Ten all-time scoring record for both men and women.
