E-commerce portal Flipkart has shared a teaser on Twitter which offers new details on the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, which is expected to launch on February 14. The company is also calling it the "all-rounder" in the teaser and the Redmi Note 4 in 2017 too was referred with the same name during the build-up to the launch. Now, we can put all these rumours to rest and confirm that the smartphone to be launched is the Redmi Note 5. The company has released a teaser on its social media channels that suggests a TV with ultra-thin frame and is expected to launch the TV on 14th February. Now, with just two days left for the launch day, MobileXpose has posted an alleged render of the Redmi Note 5.
As per the reports, Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro smartphones will be both coming up with the operating system of Android Nougat 7.1.2 (based on MIUI 9.5). The lower bezel is empty, while the upper bezel houses the selfie camera, flash, sensors and the earpiece. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 636 or 630. The fingerprint scanner is seen embedded on the rear panel. The chipset will be clubbed with either 3GB/ 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of native storage space. On the optics front, the Redmi Note 5 is likely to feature a rear dual camera setup comprising of a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The device is said to sport a huge battery of 4,100mAh capacity.
