Arsenal 10/1 for top-four finish but Wenger still hopeful

Harry Kane

GETTY Tottenham striker Harry Kane has scored six goals in seven games against Arsenal

Harry Kane has scored six goals in six Premier League games against Arsenal, only failing to score in one those games - the reverse fixture this season.

Spurs now go to Juventus on Tuesday in their Champions League last 16 first leg, while Arsenal are in Sweden to face Ostersund in their Europa League round of 32 first-leg clash on Thursday evening.

While Pochettino was unwilling to say whether Kane could dominate elsewhere, he believes the same could be said about some of the greatest players ever.

Kane has now scored in four consecutive home league games against the Gunners and has 23 goals in the top flight in another hugely impressive season. We are in the battle.

"I'm not a big fan of the Europa League victor getting into the Champions League".

"It is always a game that is charged emotionally". We arrive in a very good moment.

Mauricio Pochettino feels the pressure of sending Tottenham to their new stadium as a Champions League team but insists the club's long-term plan is more important than winning a trophy. "But our belief, our confidence, our form are good, and we will be ready to very competitive". "The performance was fantastic,"? We played awesome football, we created a lot of chances.

Considering how sloppy Arsenal's defence was, Tottenham would be more than disappointed with the result. "I want to congratulate them and keep going".

"In the second half, with the same shape, they tried to do the same but we were much better, moved the ball quick, started to find space and create problems and after 20 minutes of the second half it should be 3-0".

"Of course Harry is one of the best".

"It is hard to find another striker who has improved like he has improved", Pochettino continued.

"I've said prior, maybe a year or so ago, that he doesn't necessarily get you off your seat, he's not got raw speed, he doesn't beat that many players, he doesn't do things that maybe a Ronaldo or Messi does. Football is not about switching off for three games and switch it on for one", he told reporters at his post-match presser.

"It was also a stark contrast between Pochettino and Wenger, who clearly looked like a man on the escalator out, whereas Pochettino is a man who knows what he is doing, has the backing of everyone there, everybody is together".
