We already have some idea of what major brands like Samsung, Sony, Nokia and others may launch at the upcoming Mobile World Congress or MWC 2018 conference at Barcelona, Spain.
The recently released ASUS ZenFone Max Plus with its 5.7-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display can be bought for RM499 tomorrow at the new opening of DirectD Digital Mall Kajang tomorrow at 8am (the queue starts at 6am).
Besides the dual-camera setup on the front, there sits the proximity sensors, an earpiece and what could be a front flash.
Another smartphone from the Asus ZenFone 5 series has been leaked by famed tipster Evan Blass through via Twitter. To make it more specific, the rear camera setup includes two 16MP sensors, and on the front will be two 20MP sensors.
With one of the biggest tech events of the year, the MWC 2018 ahead of us, the series of smartphone leaks seem to be never-ending.
According to Blass, the ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite comes with quad cameras - two each on the front and back. Alongside the Zenfone 5 Lite, we also expect the other Zenfone 5 smartphones to offer 18:9 displays and dual cameras. Screen size anywhere between 5.7-inch and 5.9-inch is an obvious thing here. We actually think this is the Zenfone 5 Selfie Lite which succeeds the Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite as there is no Zenfone 4 Lite. The secondary camera might act as a depth sensor over here to add depth to the images. The fingerprint sensor is seen at the back like the aforementioned Zenfone 5 Lite and the headphone jack also stays on top.
The Zenfone 5 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor, 3GB RAM. The handset could be the more powerful variant of the Zenfone 5 Lite and may run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Well, this probably means that ASUS will advertise the ZenFone 5 Lite as a selfie-centric smartphone.
