Gas prices in the Lima region have increased 0.5 cents since last week, according to prices reported to GasBuddy.com.
The average price of gasoline in Rhode Island is 26 cents higher than it was at this time previous year, when it sold for $2.28 per gallon. The national average has increased 8.8 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 22.7 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
Hawaii, HI, January 22- Average retail gasoline prices in Hawaii have fallen 1.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.54/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 355 gas outlets in Hawaii.
According to the Energy Information Administration in its weekly report, delayed by a day due to the holiday last week, crude oil inventories continued to plunge, falling another 6.9 million barrels in the last week.
According to Patrick DeHaan, the head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy, gas prices this season have been higher than usual because USA oil inventories are 127 million barrels lower than previous year.
"As we're heading into the maintenance season you should expect to see gas prices move higher", said Jenkins.
Looking state-by-state, the largest weekly changes in average gas prices were seen in: MI (-11 cents), in (-9 cents), IL (-6 cents), OH (-6 cents), Florida (+5 cents), Oklahoma (+4 cents), New Mexico (-4 cents), North Dakota (+4 cents), Pennsylvania (+4 cents) and Louisiana (+4 cents). Gas prices has gone up 22.2 cents since previous year and is up 9 cents since last month.
