Tom Hardy's 1999 mixtape has resurfaced and it's surprisingly catchy

A rap mixtape Tom Hardy made in 1999 has surfaced on the internet

Tom Hardy Is Not a Terrible Rapper

We may have never gotten Tom Hardy, the critically-acclaimed actor of "The Revenant" and "Mad Max: Fury Road", if Tommy No 1 had gotten his chance to shine.

When playing a character in a film, actor Tom Hardy often speaks in a sort of weird, garbled voice.

The second half of the act - Eddie Too Tall, who is really Ed Tracy, BAFTA-winning director and co-creator of Fonejacker - released the album in full on Bandcamp yesterday evening and has been doing the rounds since then.

The mixtape was uploaded with the description "Made in a bedroom 1999 these mixtapes were never really finished".

Hardy hasn't been shy about his urban music exploits.

Tom Hardy's pseudonym - is listed as the writer and performer of the lyrics.

Back in 2011, he told BBC that he had a recording deal as a rapper when he was a teenager but that he had quickly turned to acting because he wasn't 'very good at rapping'.

Have a listen to the collection of tracks below, which boast titles such as We Makes The Beats, No Love No Life and Bring The F_king Noise.

"It was an important time for me to stand on my own and do what I thought was important". Who knows. Either way, here it is. "If the kid had been dumb enough to resist I reckon Tom would have given him a good hiding".
