Though, we shouldn't be too anxious considering Marvel has many movies planned after Avengers Infinity Wars all the way to 2020. Nothing's definite yet, but if you read the synopsis below, Marvel isn't hiding the fact that there's a very big chance that someone - or a group of someones - will be biting the dust come May 2018.
Following months of speculation, Avengers: Infinity War star Chris Evans seemingly confirmed with an autograph that Steve Roger will exchange his Captain America identity for that of Nomad in the Marvel Studios sequel. In the third Avengers film, Earth's Mightiest Heroes and their allies will face off against the omnipotent Thanos (Josh Brolin), who seeks not only Earth's destruction but also the entire universe.
Words like "deadliest" and "sacrifice" are being strewn about, which doesn't bode well for our team of superheroes. "I think what people are going to be excited about is what I was excited about and that's Thor meeting the Guardians and Iron Man meeting Doctor Strange".
The Russo Brothers previously remarked that Infinity War will arrive complete with a veritable trove of surprise appearances, and while rumours of the Defenders appearing were quashed a while back, a recent Lego set may have given fans their first idea of what to expect from these cameos, one that would seemingly lend credence to those earlier rumours.
"Avengers: Infinity War" opens in cinemas on May 4. With some of the key cast's contracts ending soon, nobody is safe.
Granted, it's no secret that Ragnarok's Sakaar plot was loosely based on the Planet Hulk comic, but early on in development, Hemsworth took the advice of Fatman on Batman and Kevin Smith, in particular, while advocating numerous character changes that would later be woven into the threequel's screenplay - Thor losing his hair, Mjolnir being crushed by Hela...that kinda' thing.
"Avengers 4" just wrapped, and we know it's going to shake up the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "I don't know if it's phase four, it might be a new thing". However, the latter reportedly responded by advising Hemsworth that they needed to focus on the upcoming "Avengers" movie for now.
