The New England Patriots' running-back-by-committee group will be without two members in Saturday's National Football League divisional round matchup with the Tennessee Titans.

Both Burkhead and Gillislee are out with knee injuries. Last year's Super Bowl hero has missed the past two games with an ankle injury and is officially listed as questionable to play versus Tennessee.

Burkhead, who practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday, initially hurt his left knee in a December 17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and hasn't played since. Burkhead not only rushed for 264 yards and five touchdowns, but he also recorded 254 receiving yards and caught three touchdowns. But that reportedly won't be the case on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Gillislee has made most of his impact in the running game in his first season with the Patriots rushing for 383 yards and five touchdowns in nine games played.

"After the [knee] injury, you never know what is going to happen", said Burkhead on Thursday. "So that's always in the back of your head".

Along with White, the Patriots will have Dion Lewis and Brandon Bolden available in the backfield against the Titans.
