More than a hundred Palestinians were treated for smoke and gas inhalation after the Israeli soldiers deployed tear gas and smoke grenades.

A Palestinian teen from the Gaza Strip was killed east of the Burij refugee camp after a live round was sacked into his chest, the Wafa news agency quoted medical sources as saying.

Almost 300 Palestinians were injured Friday in a new wave of clashes with Israeli police on the Gaza Strip border and in the occupied West bank, a spokeswoman for the local health charity said.

"Given the clear and absolute harm caused to the rights of Palestinian landowners in the occupied territories, it was expected that the Supreme Court should have issued an order nisi much more quickly in this petition".

He further elaborated that the U.S.'s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel confirmed his country's commitment to the process of peaceful settlement in the Middle East. Soldiers opened fire because the Palestinians "posed a threat".

Tensions were already high ahead of Friday's protests after two 16-year-old Palestinians were killed in clashes with the IDF on Thursday.

Strict measures have been imposed on tens of thousands of Palestinians following the killing of an Israeli rabbi in a drive-by shooting in the West Bank this week.

The killing of the Israeli settler happened on Tuesday near the illegal Israeli settlement of Havat Gilad, where the 35-year-old rabbi resided.

Last week, President Donald Trump said the United States may withhold future aid payments to the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) over what he called the Palestinians' unwillingness to talk peace with Israel.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an that "violent riots" broke out in two locations along the Gaza border, with Palestinians rolling burning tires and throwing rocks at the border fence.

Israel's occupation of East Jerusalem effectively put the entire city under de facto Israeli control. At that meeting, senior Palestinian leaders will debate responses to Trump's announcement on Jerusalem.
