Man Charged with Murder of Rihanna's Cousin

After Alleyne died, his cousin, Rihanna, took to Instagram to mourn his passing and to call for an end to gun violence.

Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne, 21, was walking through a track near his home in Saint Michael in Barbados on 26 December (17) when he was shot multiple times by a man who subsequently fled the scene.

Williams appeared in the District "A" Magistrates' Court on Wednesday to answer to the charges where Magistrate Douglas Frederick read out the details of the charges without asking for a plea.

Cops have made a breakthrough in their investigation of the shooting of Rihanna's cousin, Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne.

Rihanna's 21-year-old cousin was gunned down and fatally killed in Barbados. They were 23 gun-related murders a year ago.

Alleyne was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by a private vehicle and later succumbed to his injuries.

His sister, Tanella, also posted a photo of herself with Alleyne at the hospital, putting an emoji of an angel over his face.

'I never thought the day would come that I would have to bury you my love, omggg!' Tanella wrote.

Rihanna had just spent the day with him the day before on Christmas, and later shared a touching video tribute in his honor.

Williams has been ordered to remain in police custody until his next court hearing, which Barbados Today reports will take place on 31 January.
