Jennifer Lopez is pulling double duty on NBC.
While not much information has been released yet, NBC announced in a press release Wednesday (Jan. 10) that the singer will play both herself and her Shades of Blue character Detective Harlee Santos.
Jennifer Lopez is heading back to "Will & Grace". Lopez apparently grew up with Karen's maid, Rosario (Shelly Morrison) in Bronx. Jennifer performed her hit "Waiting for Tonight" at Karen and Lyle's wedding, with Jack (Hayes) serving as her back-up dancer.
Messing posted a black-and-white pic of her cuddled close to her returning pal.
Jennifer was praised at the time for her comedic timing and self-deprecation, with her demands that everyone around her wear her branded jeans and Glow fragrance poking fun at her alleged diva behavior over the years. She follows Harry Connick Jr., Minnie Driver, Michael Angarano, and Leslie Jordan.
While we wait for the pop star's return to the small screen, Will & Grace-which has already been renewed for another 13-episode season-has more familiar faces stopping by.
The original "Will & Grace" series began in 1998 and aired for almost 200 episodes over eight seasons before ending in May 2006.
