Shane says that back when he said those things, he was insecure, and was trying to make people laugh by shocking them.

The Pop Blast channel has since been deleted by YouTube "due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy against spam, deceptive practices and misleading content or other Terms of Service violations". "Here's my statement cause everyone says 'Shane, make a statement.' I am not a f***king pedophile".

"It's disgusting that some people are saying I'm a f--ing paedophile because of some s--ty a- f-king jokes on a podcast from six years ago!"

"I said OK, why do you have so many followers?" So why is it when somebody looks at and Googles like "naked baby" on Google and j**ks off to it, they can get arrested?

'Here's the worst part of it, I actually went to Google...

In response to the allegations made on Pop Blast's channel, Dawson uploaded his own video, playing a longer version of the original clip taken from the podcast.

Shane went on a 14 minute fiery tear about it on his YouTube channel following the controversy.

"First of all, let me just say, having sex with children, or touching children, or anything of that nature is awful, and you should not do it", Dawson says.

'It is also illegal to claim someone is a pedofile and use 6 year old jokes as "proof"'.

"So I typed in 'naked baby.' First of all I don't know why anybody would be turned on by that. Okay, fine, everybody do your thing", Dawson says. But, they were sexy.

"I am not a f**king pedophile!", Shane said in a video uploaded on Wednesday. I'm sorry that I was so f--ing insecure and playing this character of this guy who's insane and will say anything and tries to make people laugh by shocking them. "That is what I did on YouTube". I loved the feeling of making somebody feel shocked. He blamed it on insecurity at the time and that he "wasn't confident to make smarter jokes". While passionately declaring he is not a pedophile, he does apologize for ever joking about the subject and making insensitive comments that, "comedy" or not, made a lot of people highly uncomfortable.

Shane, who is known for his controversial content, insists that he has "changed so much as a person and as a creative" since the time of the recording.

"I'm going to start by saying I'm not a f--g paedophile".

Then Lauren explains to the listeners: 'He has this justification for paedophilia and it's so disturbing, and I just pretend that he doesn't'.

He then laughs and states, 'I'm kidding'.
