There is no information as to whether there will be any content updates as there was with the Scholar of the First Sin remaster of Dark Souls 2.

The news went live via the Nintendo Direct over on the official Nintendo website. On the Xbox One X and PS 4 Pro, it will look very well, but we don't know how it will look like on the Nintendo Switch. The spokesperson also refused to comment on which engine the Remaster will be running on, as rumours circulate that it might share the same engine as Dark Souls 3.

Bandai Namco has revealed an unbelievable box set for all three Dark Souls games, but it's only for Japan and it costs the equivalent of £330.

It's time to light a bonfire and praise the sun, because Dark Souls is returning from the dead once more.

The remastered edition of the game features a graphical overhaul and will render at a higher resolution. Since devs are always working to make Switch games function optimally docked or undocked, 60 fps is near impossible.

The company Namco Bandai announced the re-release of the game Dark Souls from a well known Studio From Software. Some games try to scare you with bump-in-the-night shocks and far-off howls, but Dark Souls doesn't require such predictable methods of terror. Once the camera steadied the pyre was lit aflame while a hero stood over it, which is usually one of the most defining images of Dark Souls given that players save their games at the campfires.

Speaking of the PC, Bandai Namco has clarified that if you already own the Prepare to Die Edition of the first Dark Souls on Steam then you'll be able to get Dark Souls Remastered for 50% off.
