Find out why he's reportedly under investigation...
Chris Brown has a done a pretty good job at staying out of trouble lately but the singer is once again facing problems.
The website reports that having bought a baby Capuchin, named Fiji, the 28-year-old pop star could be heading to jail as he never got a permit for the animal.
Chris Brown got himself a pet monkey - but never got a permit to keep her - so now he's sans monkey and could face criminal charges. Following the posting of the photo, California Department of Fish and Wildlife opened an investigation into the singer and his monkey.
Agents executed a search warrant at Brown's home January 2, Foy said, adding that Brown wasn't there but had his employees hand over the monkey in a cage.
Brown's attorney Mark Geragos has since said he thought it was "absurd" of the City Attorney to 'spend taxpayer money on investigating monkey business'. The site reports that the monkey is doing just fine. Here is a video of Royalty playing with the monkey. Chris told everyone to chill.
It seems that Chris has managed to bring about his latest supposed spat with the law in California, as he's not exactly been shy about publicising the fact he owns a monkey.
Careerwise, Chris will soon drop a mixtape with Atlanta singer-songwriter, Rodriquez "Jacquees" Broadnax, and he previewed a new song on Thursday. Chris just dropped his album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon, late a year ago, which consisted of 45 tracks. While some fans were surprised about the amount of tracks on the album, others were prepared for the news since Chris revealed in October 2017 that he had 800 unreleased songs on his phone.
