For now, she is spreading the good news about the movie's sales thus far.

Advance sales for Disney-Marvel's "Black Panther" have set a new record for Fandango as the top seller among Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in the first 24 hours, topping "Captain America: Civil War".

Marvel Studios' Black Panther follows T'Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. "Tickets have been going fast ever since presales started on Fandango late Monday", said Fandango Editor Erik Davis. Black Panther the movie, directed by Ryan Coogler, will be the first Marvel movie with a predominately black cast.

"Captain America: Civil War" opened in May of 2016, and is the 15th-highest worldwide grosser, with $1.15 billion. On the whole, it appears as if Black Panther's Doras aren't just T'Challa's bodyguards - they're a straight-up Wakandan strike force.

Some people admitted they bought multiple tickets, others commiserated with the actress, and some even invited her as their date to the opening night of the film.

According to a recent Fandango poll, "Black Panther" was the second most popular 2018 film on the ticket-selling platform behind the spring's "Avengers" flick. It stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis.
