The OnePlus 5T Lava Red edition has officially made its way to India after making its debut in China back in November 2017.

There's an exciting new color option available for those looking to pick up the OnePlus 5T in India. The display is protected by a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5. "We are happy to kickstart 2018 with the much requested OnePlus 5T Lava Red edition, our first ever red smartphone, that will certainly appeal to those looking for the ideal balance of lovely design and powerful features", Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India, said in a statement.

As a reminder the handset features a 6 inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a FHD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It also gets a redesigned wallpaper, unique to this variant.

OnePlus 5T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, clocked at up to 2.45GHz.

In the camera department, the OnePlus 5T bears a dual camera setup on the rear that has a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor. It packs 3300 mAh battery with support to dash charge. The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and the company will soon roll out Android 8.0 Oreo update for the same. For selfies, this phone is equipped with 16MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX371 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. OnePlus has baked in a new FaceID feature that adds yet another way to authenticate users on the device.
