The HTC U11 EYEs will be built around a 6-inch LCD3 screen of 1080x2160px resolution. Under-the-hood, the U11 EYEs will be powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 652 octa-core chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM.
Besides the 3930mAh battery and the Edge Sense technology, the new HTC U11 EYEs will also have OIS enabled 12-megapixel rear primary camera as well as dual 5-megapixel front-facing cameras. It should be noted that One M8 was HTC's one and only dual camera smartphone and it was launched back in 2014.
Although the invite itself does not reveal the device's name or specifications, the accompanying text in Chinese does mention the word 'Eye, ' giving us a hint that the HTC U11 EYEs will be the phone launched at the event. Its owners will be able to enjoy music on it by connecting headphones to its USB-C port. Now the same man has leaked renders and revealed the full specs on Twitter of the upcoming phone, including the all important release date. The device will reportedly come with 64GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. As per a teaser posted on the company's Facebook page, it will be announcing the phone on January 15.
The U11 EYEs will launch with Android Nougat.
Mr. Blass expects the U11 EYEs to retail for 3,299 yen ($510) but didn't have any information to share regarding availability, though earlier reports pegged Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan as launch markets.
