Assassin's Creed Rogue, the darkest chapter of the Brotherhood, will now be remastered in higher quality and available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4! The previous generation of consoles had Rogue, while the relatively new PS4 and Xbox One consoles unfortunately had the generally disliked Assassin's Creed Unity. Follow your own creed and set off on an extraordinary journey through New York City, the wild river valley, and far away to the icy cold waters of the North Atlantic in pursuit of your ultimate goal, to bring down the Assassins.
Ubisoft says it'll "offer an even more handsome and immersive gaming experience that invites fans of the series and new players alike to discover, or rediscover, Shay's adventures in 18th century North America".
Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered will be available on March 20th, 2018. As for the expansion itself, which is included in the Season Pass (I don't yet see a price listed to buy it alone), it features Bayek fighting the Romans in the new map region as part of events that take place years after the story of Origins. It also contained a lot of the better elements from Assassins Creed that I liked ... being able to move a body after you kill someone was a major one.
The title acts as a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and a prequel to Assassin's Creed III. It's worth revisiting if you've been craving a classic Assassin's Creed experience. There are also icebergs players must either avoid or ram into with an icebreaker, as well as new naval weapons and enemies who can board your ship. Did you play it when it was originally released, or will this be your first adventure with Shay?
