Overwatch Winter Wonderland Event Is Now Live Here’s All the Details

In order to make the most out of this event, it's best to gather your fellow Overwatch friends and set an agenda for the rest of the week to get a head start.

Game Director Jeff Kaplan has kept numerous legendary skins coming during this year's event a secret, although he has said Hanzo will receive a "long-awaited" legendary skin this time around. The event is now live bringing with it new skins, and new trailer, and a brutal new Mei event fitting for Ice Satan herself. This is something players have wanted for a long time.

Starting today, Overwatch players will once again get to walk through a "Winter Wonderland". You can find it after the break.

This new Winter Wonderland kicks off tomorrow and should surely delight players, especially as Blizzard continues to roll out more changes to the competitive mode. It's a fun way to blow off steam and earn some loot boxes.

The new Brawl, Yeti Hunt, is a 5v1 game that takes five Mei "Hunters" against one "Yeti" in the form of Winston. In Yeti Hunt, five players play as Mei and go up against one Winston in a yeti skin, similar to the game Evolve. In an article written by Dave Thier of Forbes, he confirmed via Blizzard developer Jeff Kaplan that there will be special skins dedicated to Hanzo, Junkrat, and Roadhog in honor of the Winter Wonderland Event with six skins in total available to be earned.

"Winter Wonderland returns to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on December 12!" As with all seasonal events this includes new themed-maps, new skins, and a brand new playmode. She can freeze Yeti Winston, but only when he's in Rage mode.

It's best to do a plethora of matches with friends and break them up with the other game modes to change things up a bit.
