Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, the multiplayer survival shooter that has dominated both Steam and Twitch throughout 2017, is coming out of Early Access on December 20, fulfilling promises from its developer that it would reach full release status before the end of the year. We got our answers tonight at The Game Awards. Xbox fans will be able to play PUBG on the system's Game Preview service beginning on December 12th, while the PC patch 1.0 launch will take place a little later in the month on December 20th. Do note, that this map will be free to all players.
Alongside revealing the first gameplay of the upcoming desert map, the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds developer also finally announced the long-awaited release date for the battle royale title.
Details and screenshots for the map were shown earlier this week on Steam, but tonight's trailer gave a much closer look at what's in store for the new map that features a tough desert terrain compared to the game's original map, Erangel. When we chose to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel.
This weekend on Saturday December 9, Xbox Australia will be bringing the rush and excitement of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) to life by releasing three separate supply drops in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
