Tonight at The Game Awards 2017, Bandai Namco announced Soul Calibur 6 and it's coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One next year.

Today, during The Game Awards, after a somewhat freakish introduction by writer/director Josef Fares (gotta love it), a new trailer premiered for A Way Out, and a release date also followed - we'll be able to break out starting on March 23, 2018. Perhaps a gear system similar to Injustice 2? Like with Tekken 7, the game will be made with Unreal Engine 4, while Motohiro Okubo will act as the producer.

For those unfamiliar, the Soulcalibur series differentiates itself from other fighting with its focus on weapon use and a unique historical fantasy setting.

It's been almost five years since the last time we stepped into the arena, brandished our shields and our swords, and let our souls burn in a heated battle. For now, check out the reveal trailer below. Not that we're complaining.
