With a figure like that, it's hardly suprirrisng that a sequel, which we now know as Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, was ordered.

When the island's dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is out June 22, 2018 in the USA and other countries, with an early release of June 8 in the UK and other European nations.

Behind the lens, Fallen Kingdom has a script from Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow, while previous story clues have pointed to an arc involving themes of animal rights and a whole new wave of genetically modified dinosaurs, as InGen's precious formula goes open source.

For those of you who don't remember Dr. Malcolm's arc in the original Jurassic Park films, let us refresh your memory. This movie looks genuinely frightening, as it puts both the humans and dinosaurs in an equal amount of peril, with both simply trying to survive. The video then shifts from a short pan showing a museum filled with dinosaur skeletons to Owen remembering how he first met Blue, his favorite Velociraptor from the first Jurassic World movie.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, James Cromwell, Jeff Goldblum, and BD Wong.
