The entire nation lost a gem when legendary actor Shashi Kapoor passed away recently.

Shashi passed away due to prolonged age-related illnesses earlier this week.

Pictures from the meet were shared online. Celebrities from Bollywood attended the fourth day ceremony held at Prithvi theatre in Mumbai in memory of the actor on December 7, 2017. With the demise of Shashi Kapoor, an era of Kapoor family with his two elder brothers, Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor has ended, Prof Maan said.

Rekha who did films like Musafir, Baseraa, Kalyug and Kali Ghata with Shashi kapoor was seen in white saree.

Located in the Dhaki Nalbani area in the interiors of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, the Kapoor ancestral home was built by Dewan Basheswarnath Singh Kapoor (father of Prithviraj Kapoor) in the early 20th century, who lived in the city.

There were three rounds of fire to honour the late actor, who spent more than four decades in Hindi cinema.

Some of his popular Bollywood films were Deewar (Wall), Kabhie Kabhie (Sometimes), Namak Hala (Loyal Servant) and Kaala Pathar (Black Rock). He made his debut as a leading actor in movies in 1961.

He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2011 and received cinema's prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award in 2015.
