New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski Suspended One Game for Late Hit on Bills Cornerback Tre'Davious White

The NFL laid down a one-game suspension to New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski for his late hit on Tre-Davious White, a ruling which was upheld after the fact.

"Man, it's a joke, dog", he said.

"I'm lying there, he snuck me with my back turned". He could have broke my neck. I mean, I've got a son to raise. People don't think about that when they just react. I bit my lip pretty bad. He is what he did. "But boy, when you see something like that and it happens right in front of you, me as a quarterback, I might have ran over and gave him a good shot". The incident occurred after White intercepted a Tom Brady pass that was intended for Gronkowski. White was assisted to the locker room with help from trainers and did not return to the game. "I'm glad I had my mouthpiece in".

As for the National Football League issuing Gronkowski a one-game suspension for the hit last Sunday, White turned away from the television cameras and muttered: "It's a joke, dog". White said he has not personally heard from Gronkowski since the hit. The tight end hit him from behind several seconds later while he was laying on the ground.

"His intentions were to hurt me", he added, via Heather Prusak of WGRZ. "It is what it is".

White wasn't pleased when asked for his thoughts on Gronkowski's one-game suspension.

"I'd say on anything that is outside of our control, such as injuries that could go down to pregame workouts and so forth, things that are out of control are out of our control", Belichick said.

"The guy did what he wanted to do".
