Creator and EP Jill Soloway said she would not discuss the recent accusations against Tambor while speaking on a panel at Vulture Fest L.A.
"I am aware that a former disgruntled assistant of mine has made a private post implying that I had acted in an improper manner toward her", Tambor said in a statement obtained by Variety at the time of Barnes' allegations.
Tambor was accused of sexual harassment by his former personal assistant, a trans woman named Van Barnes, in a private Facebook post on November 8. Since Tambor's statement, makeup artist Tamara Delbridgen claimed that Tambor forcibly kissed her the set of Never Again in 2001.
Lysette said, she laughed and brushed off the episode - because Mr. Tambor was the star of the show and she had to work with him, and because she was accustomed to such mistreatment. "But no final decision for next year has been made, either by Jeffrey or by Amazon". Later that month, guest star Trace Lysette came forward with further alleged instances of inappropriate behavior.
Amazon did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment for clarification on Tambor's status; Tambor's representatives said the actor had nothing more to add beyond his statement to the Times.
Amazon launched an investigation, speaking to both members of the Transparent production and Tambor personally.
Jeffrey Tambor appears to have changed his tune regarding whether he'll walk away from Transparent over sexual harassment allegations. I want to attack you sexually'. "I felt his penis on my hip through his thin pajamas, and I pushed him off of me".
Transparent may not have been the most popular series streaming on Amazon or its chief rival, Netflix, but it was among the most decorated winning awards and securing glowing reviews helping Amazon Studios burnish its reputation in the area of original content. The results of that investigation are not clear, and the company hasn't made any explicit statement on whether they are parting ways with the actor.
