As Universal Pictures continues their push for the upcoming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer this Thursday (check out all the trailer teases so far), the first story details from the sequel have arrived online (via EW).
Disaster-movie fans should have no problem falling in lava with the fifth Jurassic Park adventure, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (out June 22).
EW has the first concrete information regarding Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which takes place several years after the events of Jurassic World and features a refreshing take on the series. It stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, BD Wong and Jeff Goldblum. The film really kicks off when she goes to Chris Pratt's Owen Grady for some help. And since her days running the dino-theme park, Claire now runs an organization named the Dinosaur Protection Group, and so she seeks to save these dinosaurs by removing them from the island. There were hints at militarizing the beasts in the last film, but this doesn't sound like it's leading into that approach. I feel like this loosely referenced the "more teeth" moment we saw in the first Jurassic World where Claire got the epiphany that they needed more teeth to beat Indominus Rex.
It is worth noting that the sequel of the film, which was released in 2015, broke the record, having collected in its first weekend in theaters 511 million dollars. We also see the T-Rex knocked out in the back of trailer, so who knows why that is or what's to come.
The full trailer itself will finally roar in on Thursday.
