With an added emphasis on discovery and exploration, the world will draw players in to explore every inch of God of War's breathtakingly threatening landscape-by far the largest in the franchise. It's still Kratos, but he's got a son to care for now. Not only do we have titles like Days Gone and Spiderman on the way, but there is a brand new God of War title coming out.
Spotted by Wario64, PSN briefly had a release date up for the Sony Santa Monica title.
At least two regional PlayStation Stores-North America and Chile-have listed the new God of War for PlayStation 4 with a March 22, 2018 release date.
This would be in line with assertions from Sony that game will be released in "early 2018". With the Video Game Awards happening this week and PSX just around the corner (sans a press conference this time), it seems likely that Sony would take either chance to finally slap a date on their most imminent exclusive. Hopefully we'll be able to lock this date down soon.
Each PS Store listing has since reverted to a placeholder date of 31 December 2018, but screenshots of the revealing listings have circulated online.
God of War was announced at E3 2016 and follows Kratos on a new adventure into Norse mythology, whereas previous games in the action series have been inspired by Greek mythology.
Much like most Sony-published games, God of War will retail for Rs. 3,999 in India and $60 in the US.
