President Trump to Troops on Thanksgiving: 'We love you'

Trump repeatedly said the service members were'very very special people to him and everyone else in the country

According to CNN, Hertling's military career spanned 37 years and includes every level from Platoon to Field Army. 'We're being talked about again as an armed forces.

In a video conference call to members of the military stationed around the world, Trump told them they are winning big under his watch.

Trump also told troops that the "fight against ISIS" was "coming our way", before launching into additional criticism of past administrations without directly naming his predecessors. "And that's because I'm letting you do your job".

'They put up with the time away... they do it because they love our country and they love you'. The president also emphasized how proud the country was of the troops.

Thanksgiving, a national holiday in the United States, is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the country, with turkey as the most common main dish for dinner at the festival.
