LIFELINE Zululand will be creating awareness on gender based violence and promoting their Thursdays in Black campaign to end violence and rape during the annual 16 Days of Activism campaign.
Sadiq also called upon the civil society, NGOs, worldwide development partners, media, corporate sector and particularly women to come forward and play their role for protection of women's rights against violence.
The seven Sunraysia sporting clubs will wear orange during matches and games across the 16 days, a colour which symbolises a future free from violence.
The celebration is to reinforce the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Makuza noted that one of Rwanda's approaches to ending gender based violence is the rollout of 44 Isange One Stop centers that offer counseling services for GBV victims in all district hospitals across the country.
