Police have released CCTV footage of a woman being pulled out from train tracks seconds before a train arrives at a Melbourne's suburban station.
Victoria Police has released a video of the incident which shows the woman crossing the tracks before attempting to climb onto the platform.
The Protective Service Officers said they saw a train bearing down on her and sprinted from the other end of the station.
The actions of three quick-thinking transport staff have a saved a drunken woman, dragging her out of the way of an oncoming train.
The train's driver hit the emergency brake but was unable to stop in time.
A friend tries to try and pull her to safety before police intervene to drag her on to the platform.
Constable Ben Mitchell is another of the former PSOs who helped pull the woman to safety. "I think that a lot of people just don't realise how unsafe it is", Constable Goldman added.
It's not clear why the woman was on the tracks - local media suggest she may have been under the influence of alcohol.
