Highs will climb into the mid and upper 60s.
For your shopping Black Friday we will start cold in the mid-30s, but warm nicely to a high of 61 with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will drop from 50s to 40s between 5 PM and 6 PM and into the 30s before midnight. Clear skies dominate that night, which will push us down to around the 30 degree mark. Friday will be bright and sunny.
Once the front sweeps offshore, winds shift around from the northwest and become rather brisk, helping to usher in a modest shot of cold air to wrap up the weekend. The cold front will push through the area Saturday night, with clouds gradually decreasing. Thursday is partly sunny and we reach into the mid and upper 50s. Highs are in the mid to upper 50s. Odds are, most of us will stay perfectly dry. Temperatures are expected to be above average in the low 60s.
High pressure looks to control our weather much of the week, save for a few weak frontal boundaries passing by harmlessly to our north.
The weather service said Monday and Tuesday in the Omaha area are also expected to be warm and sunny with highs in the mid-50s to around 65.
