At Least 3 Dead In Rancho Tehama Shooting At Home, School; Shooter Killed

Authorities said the shooting occurred around 8 a.m.in Rancho Tehama, near Red Bluff, Calif., about 120 miles northwest of Sacramento. The shooter was shot & killed by police. The suspected shooter is dead, police said. "Multiple students" were airlifted from the scene, with a 6-year-old reportedly among the injured.

An official at the Corning Elementary School District confirmed the elementary school in Rancho Tehama is on lockdown.

A six year-old child with two gunshot wounds was reportedly transported by helicopter to a hospital. "I know that we have children that were attending school in a safe location at this time".

Students at Rancho Tehama Elementary are being evacuated to the Rancho Tehama Recreation Hall. At least 100 law enforcement officers have responded to the crime scenes.
