On the rear wing of the special one-off auto is a quote from company founder Bruce McLaren: "Life is measured in achievement, not in years alone", painted in Arabic lettering, stylised to echo the Dubai city skyline - and you guessed it, the special touch has been finished in gold. The dark satin bodywork is accented with gold pinstriping, gold-painted wheels, and a painstakingly lettered spoiler which spells out a quote from McLaren founder Bruce McLaren in Arabic.
Created as an MSO Bespoke commission, the unique 720S features a Zenith Black paint with a satin finish, gold-colored alloy wheels, a 24-karat gold engine heat shield, as well as gold-colored interior components. Short of taking a hacksaw to the auto itself, there isn't much MSO can't do to customise or personalise a vehicle, and it works with some of the world's wealthiest buyers.
MSO used a McLaren 720S Performance as the base vehicle, adding a huge number of carbon fibre body pieces, including the front splitter, rear bumper, roof panel, rear diffuser and rear "aero bridge".
And for the United Kingdom supercar company's latest MSO offering, the words of founder Bruce McLaren are inscribed on this rear wing of this one-off 720S.
Inside, the gearshift paddles, centre band to the steering wheel and door trim are finished in gold, although a carbonfibre steering wheel, sill panels and fascia vents carry the exterior theme to the interior.
The lucky owner of the MSO Bespoke McLaren 720S will take delivery of the auto at the end of the Dubai Motor Show. Naturally, the graphics are in gold as well, and took 30 hours to complete. The UAE and the region are very important to McLaren, not only in terms of our client base, but also because of the support from our shareholders. The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 remains unchanged from the non-MSO 720S. McLaren says that the rear wing took 30 hours to paint and finish, while the entire auto took 120 hours more than usual to produce thanks to its one of a kind look. "This vehicle pays tribute to that".
