Not only do those on the Tennessee State University football team sideline have to be wary of errant passes, an assistant coach apparently should have been ready for the fist of Tigers defensive end Latrelle Lee.

The Tennesssean identified that coach as Tennessee State's strength and conditioning coach T.J. Greenstone, whose job it is to keep players back along the sideline, so as not to incur penalties for interfering with officials.

Lee was immediately dismissed from the sideline by head coach Rod Reed for improper misconduct and was later expelled from both the team and the university.

The 22-year-old Lee was expelled on Monday.

The TSU offense was on the field when the incident occurred. There is as of now no explanation of what led to Lee swinging on Greenstone.

Greenstone falls to the ground after being punched. "We are committed to supporting the coach who was personally affected and our concern now is with him". He recorded 18 tackles this season, but did not play in Saturday's game.

Lee played in a total of 16 games during his freshman and sophomore seasons, but started just two game this season.

Per the report, Greenstone is a former Vanderbilt player who oversees all of the school's athletic programs.
