And for those curious, it looks like discounts for the PlayStation 4 Pro will be rare if they exist at all.
Microsoft has posted some phenomenal Black Friday deals that will kick off starting this week with markdowns on digital games, but Sony isn't about to let all that pass by quietly. The deals include discounted PS 4, deal on PS VR bundles, and more. This includes the recently announced PlayStation VR Gran Turismo Sport Bundle at $299.99 USD (MSRP) and PlayStation VR Skyrim VR Bundle at $349.99 USD (MSRP). Both deals are great prices compared to current retail listings, even if the standalone headset deal isn't. You can also stock up on additional DualShock 4 wireless controllers while you're at it. At the very least, I'm going to be grabbing a new DualShock or two.
Watch out more retailer-specific hardware deals on bundles, consoles, and accessories on Black Friday.
On these deals that are sure to boost sale as the holiday season begins, Sony Interactive Entertainment America has commented, "there has never been a better time to jump into the driver's seat in GT Sport for a heightened VR experience, or transport yourself into the virtual open game world of The Elder Scroll filled with dragon fighting experience". Game sales will start on November 21 and last through November 28 and like most of Sony's sales, PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive a larger discount than non-subscribers.
Sony will be releasing more details on the PS Store Black Friday Sale in the coming days so stay tuned for updates. It has chose to answer back with an epic Black Friday sale of its own, and you won't have to wait till next week to take part.
