Someone has now decided to make an app to remove the notch on the new iPhone X and they have ingeniously called it Notch Remover.
"The iPhone X has a 5.8" display that stretches from edge to edge.
As the name suggests, the app allows you to effectively eliminate the notch on the iPhone X by adding a black bar to the top of images that you can then manually assign as wallpapers from the phone's Settings menu. For those who can't stand it, here's a remedy that you've been looking for. It's essentially a software-enabled "bezel" that fills in the cutout areas with a black bar to give the illusion that the notch isn't there.
Apple's iPhone X comes with a notch at the top of the display, under the notch is where Apple had hidden all of the cameras and technology for their Face ID. Best yet, it has gained approval from Apple which is a bit surprising given the language Cupertino uses in its developer guidelines.
"Don't mask or call special attention to key display features".
Despite Apple saying developers should not "hide the device's rounded corners, sensor housing, or indicator for accessing the Home screen by placing black bars at the top and bottom of the screen", the app has been approved.
If you're interested, the Notch Remover is now available on the AppStore and it will cost you RM3.90.
