But most importantly, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is going to be able to shoot flames from its exhaust. The new ZR1 is expected to first be seen on Sunday, November 12, a day before the start of the Dubai Motor Show - with an alleged cover from vehicle and Driver showing the model in its entirety and revealing it will have a 750-horsepower (559-kilowatt) V8 engine under the hood. Motor Trend will be there to bring you all the details. According to the "Car and Driver" cover, the ZR1 will have 750 hp - 100 more than the already potent Z06 'Vette.
Based on all the spy shots out there, the new coupe with a removable hardtop will be quickly followed by a convertible ZR1 with a soft top. Yes, we are also surprised that it doesn't get the ZL1's 10-speed automatic gearbox.
Rumours are that the ZR1 will be revealed at a Chevrolet event in Dubai on the 12 of November, or in two days.
It doesn't look like the ZR1 has a DOHC V8 despite carrying the legendary LT5 engine denomination, at least according to Corvette Blogger.
C&D also says a performance pack which includes Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s, damper tuning, and an adjustable rear wing is going to be available.
There will be multiple aerodynamics packages for the new ZR1, including RPO ZTK, which is shown on the magazine cover with the massive rear wing.
Again, it is expected that the 2019 Corvette ZR1 will debut online on November 12th, followed by a formal U.S. debut at the LA Auto Show in late November and early December.
