Speaking to ABC News about the doctor's visit, Lee said: "It was very hard, I felt his pain but at the same time, it was all about love".
In the video, Lee gives his little guy a pep talk, telling Debias to stay strong but reassuring him that he can cry if he needs to, as his girlfriend, Shamekia Harris, records the visit on her phone.
He also said that he hopes this video - which has now been viewed more than 14 million times on Facebook - will remind other dads to be there for their kids when they need them. "I know he felt the love because his daddy was there".
Lee said besides when he's getting shots, Debias rarely cries, "unless he's hungry". Thankfully, Lee's girlfriend Shamekia Harris, caught the whole incident on video and posted it to Facebook so that we can all share a giggle and a tear over this handsome father-son moment.
That night I [spoke] to my son - he's only 2 months - and I let him know: "'Son, I want to see you succeed before I die, '" Lee recalled.
"Now you're going to get a shot", he tells the infant.
