A teenager in Kerala who had been battling for life at Thiruvananthapuram Ananthapuri hospital after she jumped off the third floor of her school building on Friday, died on Monday morning.
Gauri was then called into the staff room and both Sindhu and Crescent scolded her severely in front of other teachers, following which the girl jumped off from the school building. It was also reported that teachers reprimanded Gauri and warned her of disciplinary action, and that she would not be allowed to write her exams.
The Kollam West Police had registered a case and the investigation is on.
She was rushed to a private hospital but couldn't be saved. The girl has been identified as Gauri Neha of Ramankulangara in Kollam.
According to reports, the Class 10 student Gauri took an extreme step on Friday after she was allegedly harassed by her teachers. But a similar situation arose, and the girl informed her sister Gauri.
The girl's parents met the school authorities and threatened to file a complaint against the teachers, but they assured them that this would not happen again.
As the siblings were teased by their friends, they entered into a verbal spat. After recording the statement of the girl's father in Thiruvananthapuram, the police chose to book cases.
