Kenny White, 32, was a passenger coming home from a construction job on Wednesday night when one of the rocks went through the windshield and hit him.
The rock then traveled through the windshield and struck White.
MI authorities are asking for the public's help in finding out who threw a rock from a highway overpass that smashed a auto windshield and killed a 32-year-old man.
Genesee County Sheriff's Office received a call about the incident around 8:30 p.m. The auto was traveling southbound on I-75 near the Dodge Road overpass.
The incident involving White is being investigated as a potential homicide.
There were four other vehicles that reported hitting other large rocks on the highway and were at the scene waiting for police to arrive.
