Panchkula Police brought Honeypreet to the district court from the Chandimandir police Station as her custody ends on Friday.
She had arrived in Panchkula, a few hours before the court remanded Honeypreet Insan, close confidante of jailed Dera chief, in judicial custody till October 23. Jangirana sarpanch Nir mal Singh, who accompanied SIT members, alleged that Honeypreet had spent a week at the house while being on the run after she was booked for sedition following the violence that broke out in Panchkula after the conviction of Gurmeet. He said, "Haryana police cal led me inside the house and asked about the stay of Honeypreet and Sukhdeep there".
Honeypreet, whose real name is Priyanka Taneja, has been sent to judicial custody till October 23.
On Tuesday, the court had sent Honeypreet and her aide Sukhdeep Kaur to a three-day police remand. She was arrested on October 3 from the Zirakpur-Patiala highway, about 15 km from Chandigarh.
A court in Panchkula had in September issued arrest warrants against top Dera functionaries - Honeypreet, Aditya Insan and Pawan Insan.
The SIT had interrogated Honeypreet for six days and told the court that her phone, which is yet to be recovered, has vital videos.
Sources also said that Honeypreet was in constant touch with followers of Ram Rahim outside the country to facilitate his stay if they did manage to escape.
A Special Investigation Team of the Sirsa police had also last month questioned the Dera chairperson in connection with the violence.
The Dera chief has been sentenced to 20 years in jail for raping two women and is now lodged in jail.
His conviction led to violence in Panchkula and Sirsa in Haryana, leaving 41 people dead and over 260 injured. Isolated incidents of violence were also reported from Delhi and several places in Punjab.
