Trump Says NFL Should Have Suspended Colin Kaepernick for Kneeling

NFL Kneeling: It's a “Yes” for me

Trump claims victory, NFL says wait a minute

The Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, and other teams have also mandated that their players stand during the national anthem without hearing anything from Hill.

Any form of federal subsidy of National Football League teams, whether via anti-trust exemptions or favorable tax rules for financing of venues, is indefensible. He also added that a plan regarding the issue will be addressed at the meeting NY which is due to take place on October 17-18.

Shahid Khan, the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, stood tall with arms linked between his players.

However, Goodell didn't mention what plan is to address this controversial issue.

"It is about time that Roger Goodell of the NFL is finally demanding that all players STAND for our great National Anthem-RESPECT OUR COUNTRY", Trump exclaimed.

The issue of players demonstrating during the national anthem hit its peak after the president said at a political rally in Alabama: "Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, 'Get that son of a b-- off the field right now. Out! I would ask anybody to look at my record relative to what I say I'm going to do".

Somehow, shockingly, the players didn't obey the very, very powerful president, with hundreds joining in protests in one form or another over the weekend.

TMZ reports that during an interview with Sean Hannity for Fox News, President Donald Trump said that if the NFL had originally suspended Colin Kaepernick every time he didn't stand for the national anthem, it would have stopped the protests that followed.

"Freedom of speech is a right we have", Minor said.

While explaining what Trump's tax-breaks tweet was directed toward, she said, "The federal tax law doesn't apply here, but certainly we know that they receive tax subsidies on a variety of different levels".

Last season, quarterback Colin Kaepernick took a knee as the national anthem was being sang, and this sparked nationwide discourse; while many people supported his intent, others thought he was disrespecting the American flag. "We need to move past this controversy, and we want to do that together with our players". In 2014, Goodell faced mounting calls for his resignation after he dealt with domestic abuse cases in the league leniently. Minorities have been oppressed in this country since the day it began, from ghettos to Jim Crow to the federal government ignoring the blatant racism of police officers towards minorities.
