Nearly three months after Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington took his life, the band has released an episode of Carpool Karaoke featuring three members of the band.

Earlier this year, Apple Music launched a new feature length version of the series with different celebrities standing in for the British actor and preseneter, who serves as executive producer. The video was not released, though, with James Corden saying at the time that "we will approach in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled".

The 20-minute footage featuring the American rock band taking to the road with USA comedian Ken Jeong, was shared with fans on Facebook.

Now, with the blessing of Bennington's family and the band, the 23-minute episode has been released.

"I just want my kids to find something that they're passionate about", he said. The video sees Chester behind the wheel with Ken in the passenger seat and band members Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn in the back. "This was taped July 14, 2017".

Chester's body was found by his housekeeper at his home near Los Angeles and his death was ruled a suicide by hanging.

Linkin Park will honor their late frontman with a sold-out tribute concert at the Hollywood Bowl on October 27.
