HMD Global is expected to launch the next-generation Nokia 9 smartphone soon. Pictures of the Nokia 2 have already leaked out last month, but no credible Nokia 9 imagery emerged until now. These aren't press renders though, rather, as is always the case with OnLeaks, they are based on factory CAD files of the phone, hence, chances are we might see a different product at the time of launch.
Flip the phone and you'll notice a dual-camera setup, just like the Nokia 8. The Nokia 9 will apparently sport a 5.5-inch display with very slim bezels and a curved glass panel on the front. The curved design looks fantastic, though it is hard to see the actual outline of the display. However, given the accurate track record of @Onleaks, we can be nearly sure about Nokia ditching the 3.5mm headphone port, especially since most brands have done the same over the past one year. The smartphone is also said to house a fingerprint scanner and will also feature an Iris Scanner as well.
On the bottom edge of the Nokia 9 render, it comes with a single speaker and USB Type-C port.
From these renders, we can make out that HMD has got the courage to ditch the 3.5mm audio jack.
Inside, the Nokia 9 is believed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the same chipset that's on other notable flagship smartphones like the S8, Note 8, the HTC U11 and Google's new Pixel 2 handsets. The company's current flagship Nokia 8 does not come with a headphone jack. It will come with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This is because the Finnish company could be testing more than one prototype of the Nokia 9. The phone is said to come with a bigger 5.7-inch display that will be nearly be almost bezel-less.
