Taylor Twellman feels there needs to be more accountability following the U.S.'s disappointing World Cup qualifying campaign.
The USA only required a draw with lowly Trinidad and Tobago to gain passage to Russian Federation, but incredibly suffered a 2-1 loss.
His full rant after the match is quite honest and revealing.
"The United States has been eliminated from World Cup 2018", Wahl wrote on Twitter.
In advancing to the round of 16 in three of the past four World Cup tournaments, the US had found itself targeting a deeper run in soccer's showpiece event - leaving Twellman dumbfounded by Tuesday's developments.
The U.S. loss "is a blow to Fox Sports' soccer ambitions", Steven Cahall, an analyst at RBC Capital Markets, said Wednesday in a note. He also recorded 30 caps for the USA national team, scoring six times.
People can be as angry as they want, but the fact of the matter is that no anger in this world is going to send this under-achieving team to Russian Federation next year.
"As a whole, U.S. Soccer is not prepared", Twellman said on ESPN News.
Twellman did not stop at blaming U.S. Soccer, saying a lot of the blame is on the shoulders of the players.
"The discussion after Brazil was, 'Can we beat the Colombias and the Belgiums and the Argentinas of the world", Twellman said. "Max, you don't deserve to go to the World Cup, plain and simple". "What are we doing?"
