Arsenal Star Happy To Switch Between Roles To Secure Playing Time

Wilshere reveals Invincibles blueprint for Arsenal style

Jack Wilshere is reportedly pondering whether to walk away from Arsenal when the transfer window reopens in January.

Defending In Numbers is a new Deezer Originals football podcast, created by Squawka.

Wilshere looked close to his best in the Europa League game and is likely to reprise that role against Red Star Belgrade next week.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere insists that he is enjoying roles as a deep midfielder as well as an incutting number 10 and wants to get more minutes under his belt for the Gunners. He didn't want me to play as a left winger.

"You name those three who probably spend the most money who go for the league, I'd say the other three are probably going for the last position".

"You can come into that position, and me and Theo were switching in the game".

"Don't get me wrong, I don't run the most, but my numbers are good so I'm happy".

The report suggests he is desperate to make the tournament in Russian Federation and remains in Gareth Southgate's plans despite not making a Premier League appearance so far this campaign. We've improved defensively as a team.

The midfielder is believed to be keeping his options open over his future as he attempts to force his way back into the Gunners line-up on a regular basis after finally recovering from injury.

"The Invincibles were great at it because they'd lose the ball but then win it higher up and we'd be in a unsafe position".

With less than a year remaining on Wilshere's contract there is a considerable amount of uncertainty regarding his long-term future at Arsenal but he certainly possesses the talent to still have a successful career at the club.

He said: "My fitness levels if I'm honest are the best they have ever been".
