honor introduces its first smartphone with an 18:9 FullView Display

It is 11th of October today and Huawei has made the Honor 7X official at an event in China. We have some inside information.

Coming to the specifications, the tablet comes with a 10.1-inch Full HD display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and pixel density of 224ppi. It is powered by Huawei's octa-core Kirin 659 processor and packs 4GB of RAM and dual-SIM support.

Out of the box, it runs on EMUI 5.1 that's based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Just like its predecessor, the Honor 7X also offers dual camera setup on the rear. You can purchase the Honor 7X in Aurora Blue, Gold, and Black colour options. The Honor 7X is successor to the company's much-popular Honor 6X phone and will be available in as many three storage variants: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB, with all the variants supporting expandable storage of up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. The smartphone is also IP67 certified that means the Honor 7X is water and dust resistant. It carries a price-tag of 1299 yuan ($198) for the 32GB version, 1699 yuan ($258) for the 64GB version and 1999 yuan ($304) for the 128GB version. Were now looking at a 16MP main camera with a 2MP secondary one along with an 8MP camera on the front. On the front, the Honor 7X comes with an 8-megapixel camera. The device also supports the company's SuperCharge fast charging technology with the help of a 9V/2A (18W) power adapter.

The capable Honor 7X supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS / GLONASS connectivity features. The same rear camera sensors that accompany the Honor 9i rear. On the battery front, the Honor 7X is fuelled by a 3,340mAh non-removable battery that rated to deliver up to 21 hours of talktime and up to 22 days of standby time on a single charge. The handset measures 156.5 x 75.3 x 7.6 mm and weighs around 165 grams.
