Hue Jackson: DeShone Kizer 'gives us hope'

Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier told ESPN that the National Football League has fined him $25,000 for his hit on Cleveland Browns quarterback DeShone Kizer. Terrance West led the Baltimore running game on his 19 carries, 80 yards and a score, while Jeremy Maclin had two receptions for 56 yards and a TD.

Now Hue Jackson's bunch will stay in the AFC North in Week 2 as they go on the road to face the Baltimore Ravens.

Over on the Browns' side, they're now 0-1 after showing some life in a 21-18 defeat by the Steelers in Week 1.

Find some wood and knock on it hard, but the Cleveland Browns enter the Week 2 game with the Baltimore Ravens in quite fortuitous health.

The 21-year-old rookie completed 20 of 30 passes for 222 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

It may have just ben Week 1, and there's a chance that it was just a blip on the radar, but I'm willing to come right out with a declaration: The days of the Cleveland Browns being a laughingstock are no more.

It's fitting that this is the week, 14 years ago, that Lewis accomplished this feat. In the last five games versus the Browns, Flacco is average 267.4 passing yards per game. "Now that was one game".

Before they can look ahead, the Browns remain focused on an important test against the Ravens Sunday but from a big picture view opportunity knocks to finally get out of the cellar. Cleveland can get in the door and cover, though.
